The Company uses two raw water storage tanks located in
Trinity (Beechfield) and in St Lawrence
(Mont Gavey) to assist in controlling the flow of untreated water between
the reservoirs and from the reservoirs to the treatment works.
The raw water storage tank at Mont Gavey acts primarily
as a hydraulic break tank for the raw water transfer system. It also incorporates
a complex arrangement of connections and remotely operated valves allowing
several different transfer routes to be set up and controlled.
The tank in Trinity acts as a header tank for the treatment
works at Augrès providing them with a constant supply of raw water
for treatment.
