From Monday (19 January), we will be carrying out essential repair works at Val de la Mare reservoir on an area of footpath and bank near the water’s edge. These improvements will help maintain safe access for everyone who enjoys the reservoir.
What to expect
There will be a fenced‑off area in place while we do the repairs, with a narrow public route (approximately one to two metres wide), so the footpath will remain open throughout. Clear signage will guide walkers and joggers safely around the works.
There will also be some daily vehicle movements between the top car par, near the old fisherman’s hut, and the works area.
We ask all visitors to take care when using the path and follow any safety instructions from our team or signage.
How long the works will take
These repairs are expected to last around three weeks. We’ll update you if timelines change.
Thank you for your patience while we carry out these important improvements to keep Val de la Mare safe and accessible for all.
