A team of 25 staff from Jersey Water completed the first ever “Water Butt “challenge on Sunday 22nd July 2012.
The team pushed and pulled one of Jersey Water’s large water butts from La Fregate to St Aubin’s on what was one of the hottest days of the year so far. The butt was filled with re-useable Jersey Water sports bottles filled with water which were sold along the route as well as donations collected. A grand total of £1,000 was raised for the Teenage Cancer Trust Jersey Appeal.
The team were delighted to have raised this amount of money and would like to thank everyone who supported them along the route with encouragement as well as generous donations for this very worthy cause.
