We’ve seen a number of recent posts about sea water quality in Jersey, so we’d like to clarify our role.
Jersey Water is responsible for supplying drinking water to homes and businesses across the Island. We do not manage sewerage, drainage or sea water quality.
Responsibility for these areas sits with the Government of Jersey’s Infrastructure and Environment (I&E) department.
We know how important our beaches and coastal waters are to the Island community – and we care about them too. If you’re looking for the latest updates or have concerns about sea water quality, we recommend contacting I&E directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
