A team of staff from Jersey Water will be undertaking for the second year, an unusual challenge on Saturday 10th August 2013 and are hoping to raise funds to support the Jersey Cheshire Home 30 years to inspire appeal.
The “Water Butt “challenge will see the pushing and pulling of one of Jersey Water’s large water butts from La Fregate, St Helier to St Aubins by a team from Jersey Water . The butt will be filled with re-useable Jersey Water sports bottles filled with water and along the route these will be sold and donations will be collected, all monies collected will go to the Jersey Cheshire Home 30 years to inspire appeal.
David Lord, Operations Manager for the Jersey Cheshire Home commented “We are delighted that the Jersey Water team have chosen to support us and are helping us to mark our 30 years, by undertaking this unusual challenge. We hope that as many people as possible will buy a reusable sports bottle and be as generous as possible with a donation.
Howard Snowden, Managing Director for Jersey Water said, “This is an unusual challenge for the Jersey Water team to undertake and we hope to achieve even more success than our butt push last year. We hope as many people as possible will support us along the route by either making a donation or buying a re-useable Jersey Water sports bottle. We want to raise as much money as we can for the Jersey Cheshire Home so it can continue their work to support islanders and their families when they need it most.
The challenge starts at 10.45am at the La Fregate, St Helier on Saturday 10th August 2013
