Update on burst main in La Pouquelaye-Rouge Bouillon

Today, Jersey Water has responded to and repaired a burst water main in the area of Rouge Bouillon, near the bottom of La Pouquelaye.

Jersey Water is now actively working with the Infrastructure Department, the emergency services and other utilities to assess the immediate vicinity. The appropriate agencies are assessing damage to a nearby building to understand the cause. As a precaution and to ensure public safety, a business has been temporarily moved from its premises.

The section of road between Midvale Road and Palmyra Road will remain closed until all necessary investigations have been completed.

Jersey Water recognises that this is a very busy area of St Helier and the aim, working jointly working with other agencies, is to get the road open as quickly as possible. The utility thanks the public for their patience and apologises for the inconvenience caused.
