Queen’s Valley and Val de la Mare reservoir sites will remain closed over the weekend following Storm Austen.
The decision has been taken for public and employee safety, with our essential operational teams focussed on ensuring our water supply operations continue to run smoothly.
The current expectation is that full assessments will take place on Monday, and both sites will remain closed pending the completion of safety checks. With heavy rainfall and winds set to continue tomorrow, it would be unsafe to reopen the sites before these thorough inspections can be undertaken.
Closure signs will remain on the gates.
