We have raised more than £18,000 for local charity Healing Waves, supporting its work to provide opportunities for Islanders living with disabilities, long-term health conditions and mental health challenges.
As part of our partnership, we also donated a water butt to Healing Waves to help the charity collect and make better use of rainwater at its therapy centre at Le Braye in St Ouen’s Bay.
Over the past year, our colleagues have taken part in a range of fundraising activities for Healing Waves, from a Christmas raffle and Easter cake sale to running a water refill station at the Out There festival at Val de la Mare Reservoir. We matched the money raised through these activities, bringing our total donation to £18,237.56.
Matt Wiltshire from Healing Waves commented:
“We feel incredibly fortunate and proud to have been Jersey Water’s chosen charity in 2026. Through internal fundraising initiatives and community events the Jersey Water team raised an outstanding amount to support our life changing services. Please know that every penny raised will go straight back to ensuring we can continue offering free opportunities for Islanders who need them most.
What made this partnership particularly special was the enthusiasm with which the Jersey Water team embraced it. From getting involved in fundraising activities and purchasing 500 Club tickets to installing a water butt at our Surf Therapy Centre, their support took many meaningful forms throughout the year. To everyone at Jersey Water please accept my sincere and heartfelt thank you on behalf of everyone at Healing Waves. We are deeply grateful for the support and commitment you have all shown.”
We have also announced the RNLI as our next charity of the year, after our colleagues voted to support the charity.
Nigel Sweeney (MBE), Lifeboat Operations Manager for RNLI Jersey’s St Helier Lifeboat station, said:
“This partnership with Jersey Water is really meaningful to our crew. Every callout reminds us how vital community support is to saving lives at sea, and Jersey Water’s backing helps ensure we can continue to be there when we’re needed most. We’re excited for the year ahead and the positive impact we can make together.”
Throughout the year, we’ll be organising a range of fundraising activities and getting behind the RNLI’s mission to save lives at sea.
