Jersey Water has today opened its 2016 Bursary Scheme for applications from local students looking for assistance with the cost of university studies and paid work experience during the summer holiday periods.
The Jersey Water Bursary Scheme has been successfully running since 2009, and is designed to assist local people embarking on an undergraduate degree course in a subject relevant to the supply of water (including engineer, environmental sciences, water resources, management and conservation or chemistry). The Award provides funding for one successful applicant each year towards the cost of study for the duration of their time at university. As well as financial assistance towards studies, Jersey Water offers a paid work experience programme during holiday periods.
Full details of the scheme and the application process can be downloaded from the Jersey Water website.
