We’re pleased to confirm that our essential valve replacement works in Conway Street have now been completed, and the road will be reopening as planned on Friday (1 May).
The programme formed part of planned upgrades to the Island’s mains network and was carefully coordinated alongside the Government of Jersey’s improvement works in the area.
Completing the works required intensive day and overnight working, including an overnight supply shut off on Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Thanks to the efforts of our Network team and our contractor Jayen, we were able to complete the job safely and on schedule.
We would also like to thank Ace Engineering, who manufactured and supplied critical flow stop clamp fixings at short notice. These enabled us to localise the water shut off and keep disruption to a minimum, after another supplier was unable to deliver as planned.
We’re grateful to residents and businesses in Conway Street and Broad Street for their patience and understanding during the road closure and overnight works on Tuesday evening.
Thank you again to everyone for bearing with us while we completed these essential upgrades.
