Jeanette Sheldon, our Head of Water Quality, has been named as a finalist in the Women in Utilities Awards 2026.
Shortlisted in the Frontline Excellence (Utility) category, Jeanette has been recognised for her leadership and, in particular, for achieving 100% compliance for water quality last year, leading on Jersey Water’s response to PFAS and driving the development of our new laboratory, while also building and mentoring a high‑performing water quality team.
The Women in Utilities Awards recognise outstanding women working across the UK utilities sector, celebrating leadership, impact and excellence in operational and frontline roles.
Jeanette is shortlisted alongside finalists representing National Gas Transmission, Thames Water, Affinity Water, SGN, Pennon Group, UK Power Networks, Scottish Water and NESO, placing Jersey Water among a strong national field utilities.
On the shortlisting, Jeanette said:

Delivering safe drinking water is always a team effort, but visibility of women leading in operational environments is hugely important and I’m proud to represent that at Jersey Water.”
