Who are Brighter Futures?
A Jersey-based charity dedicated to supporting parents, carers, children, and young people.
What do they do?
They work closely with parents and carers to enhance child development, improve parent-child relationships, and foster family health and wellbeing. By doing so, they aim to increase the life chances and opportunities available to families.
What services do they offer?
They offer a variety of free programmes and services that focuses on strengthening family dynamics and promoting positive outcomes for both parents and children.
These services include personal development courses, educational programmes, second-chance learning, group sessions, one-on-one emotional support, as well as advice, information, and practical assistance. These services help parents and carers build self-esteem, confidence, and communication skills.
The programmes address three key areas of family life:
- Parent and child relationships
- Wellbeing and positive mental health
- Personal development and second-chance learning
Who can use their services?
Brighter Futures is open to all parents and carers, regardless of their background, family situation, or financial circumstances. Many parents and carers feel socially isolated or need support for their wellbeing, mental health, or child development.
Where are they based?
Brighter Futures is based at The Bridge located on Le Geyt Road, St Saviour.
