The incoming chairman, Peter Yates, said:
“I am very honoured to become chairman of Jersey Water in 2015 and look forward to welcoming Tim Herbert and Liz Vince to the board where they will play an active part in shaping the future for the company. Jersey Water plays a vital role in Jersey’s community, supplying high quality drinking water throughout the year and our job on the board will be to ensure that our high standards of service continue in to the future. On behalf of the staff and board, I should like to pay particular thanks to Kevin Keen, who did a superb job as chairman over the last five years during which we have enjoyed his energy, enthusiasm and support. His wise counsel and guidance will be missed.”
Outgoing chairman, Kevin Keen, said:
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my eight years on the board of Jersey Water and will be sad to leave. I should like to extend my thanks to the support of the directors, staff, customers and shareholders during my tenure as chairman. During that time the company has achieved a lot, including substantial investment in metering whilst keeping the growth in water charges below the level of inflation. I leave Jersey Water in a very strong position and wish it the best for the future”.
